General Assembly Overview
Important Notes
Which sides of the building are enclosed? Both long side walls are fully clad in Colorbond Trimdek sheeting. Both gable ends (front and back) are completely open, giving you full drive-through access from end to end.
Can I close one or both ends later? The kit is supplied with open ends. Contact Matrix Steel before purchase to discuss adding end wall cladding or roller doors to your order.
What’s included in the kit? Your kit includes the full steel frame (columns, rafters, purlins, girts), Colorbond Trimdek roof cladding, Colorbond Trimdek wall cladding on both side walls, ridge cap, barge capping, gutters, downpipes, and all required fixings and fasteners.
Do I need a concrete slab? Yes. This kit is designed for on-slab connection. You’ll need to have a suitable concrete slab prepared before assembly. Slab preparation is not included.
Is engineering included? Each kit is engineered to AS/NZS 1170 standards and site-rated for your specific location, including wind region classification. Engineering certification can be provided on request for an additional fee.
Can I choose my Colorbond colours? Yes. The full Colorbond colour range is available for roof cladding, wall cladding, gutters, downpipes, ridge cap, and barge capping. Contact us to customise your colour selections.
Do you deliver? Yes. Delivery is available Australia-wide. The delivery address must have practical access for our transport vehicles. Additional charges may apply for restricted-access sites.
Do you offer installation? Installation services are available in select areas and quoted separately. Contact us for a supply-and-install quote. Installation is subject to a site visit, and conditions apply.
What’s the difference between this and the roof-only hay shed? This product includes wall cladding on both long sides, providing weather protection from wind and rain while still allowing drive-through access at both ends. The roof-only hay shed has no wall cladding at all — it’s open on all sides. Choose this product if you want side weather protection with drive-through capability; choose the hay shed if you need open access from every direction.
What’s the difference between this and a fully enclosed shed? A fully enclosed shed has cladding on all four walls and typically includes roller doors for access. This product has open gable ends with no doors, making it ideal for situations where you need constant, unrestricted drive-through access without opening or closing anything.
